There was a lot of different forms of baseball in the 18th century. Around 1765 kids started to play a variation of baseball is school. As time began to pass more and more people has started to play a variation of baseball. In 1845 a group of men founded the New York Knickerbocker Baseball Club. This club was the first club to play a variation of baseball with a set of rule which is similar to todays rules. Alexander Joy Catwright, a member of the New York Knickerbocker Baseball Club made these rules. He made the saftey rules, the diamond-shaped field, and other rules.
